NCAA Men's Golf

The University of Iowa men's golf team hits the links this weekend in the Golden Gopher Invitational. The men's team finished unranked last year, and only two of the teams from the big 10 were ranked, Michigan State (21) and Indiana (24). This year there is room for improvement.

Looking at the finances from the 2005-2006 academic year, we see that Iowa's men's golf team was at about an $11,000 loss per student which is less than the $14,000 loss per student from the men's team at Iowa State. Iowa is also right on target with other Big 10 schools in terms of per student losses.
