Parking Prices

In an effort to price parking spaces more efficiently, the City of San Francisco is charging different prices based on supply and demand. Peak time periods will have higher prices and off-peak time periods have lower prices. Consumers will be able to pay not only with coins, but with credit or debit cards.

Compare this to Chicago, who has outsourced charging parking to one firm (i.e. a monopolist) and had to deal with a host of problems with the change.
