Health Care for Peanuts?

An interesting (although sobering) article on the crisis in Zimbabwe. Cash is so scarce in Zimbabwe that health care providers are working - literally for peanuts - for payment of health care services. In Prin. of Microeconomics, I briefly discuss that markets that use cash are more efficient than markets that rely on barter, since cash is a more liquid commodity than goods or services.
