ESPN reported after the 2010-2011 playoff season that some NBA players were worried about how fans will react to an NBA lockout. As we show in chapter 2 of The Wages of Wins, fans did not significantly change their attendance behavior in the previous NBA lockout, or the NFL strikes, NHL season cancellation or MLB strikes/lockout.
