Trademark Lawsuit
The New York Times reports that a small firm is trying to trademark the phrase "pretzel crisps", and is being sued by a large firm stating that this phrase is too generic to be allowed to trademark. As I discuss in today's Law & Economics, there are economic reasons for allowing and not allowing certain words or phrases to be trademarked. This is a nice example of this economic issue.
